A Walk to Remember

Chris got home the night before last. Since he promised Blair a trip to Chuck E Cheese, that is what we did Tuesday night. It was nice actually. The place was really almost empty and it was SO MUCH NICER that way! We had a great family outing.

Last evening Chris decided Jesse James the dog needed to run his little energetic butt off for a while. We didn't want to do the dog park, instead we went to our park that our trail leads to out on the Galveston Bay. Instead of walking the trail, which is about 1.75 miles one way, we drove. It is free to get in as a Seabrook resident. They usually charge $20 per car. This sounds steep, but if you saw the amount of people that were CLEARLY NOT Seabrook residents tearing up the park each weekend, as a taxpayer in the city, you too would want that fee enacted. I was SO HAPPY when they passed that! I remember going on my daily jogs out there and just getting so frustrated at the people that came in and trashed our park. Our beautiful park on the bay. Now, it is cleaned up! It is a fabulous park.

Last evening the tide was so far out that we were able to walk way far out. Way under the fishing Pier and up the side of the park. It was a lot of fun! The kids and Jesse really loved it.

That evening we treated ourselves to some ice cream (thank you to Nikki for leaving it behind, tee hee). When Chris and I looked over and saw Blair on the couch with it, we were about to scold him to get up to the bar with it. That is until what we saw him doing. He probably gave the majority of that ice cream to his sister. A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E

Awwww! That is so sweet!! What a good big brother.

I just weighed myself on the scale at work and according to that thing, I've gained 4 pounds in a week. Not sure if that's right, but if it is, I'm even more glad I left that ice cream with you! LOL!
